தெரிஞ்சுக்கோங்க-(Maths Tricks)

(ரமேஷ் ): டேய்..சுரேஷ்..மேத்ஷ்(Maths) எக்ஸாம் எப்டி எழுதியிருக்க?

(சுரேஷ்) : எல்லா சம்சும் கம்ப்ளீட் பண்ணனும்னு நெனைச்சேன்.
                    பட் நிறைய ஸ்டெப்சு இருந்ததால முடியல..

(ரமேஷ் ): ஆமாண்டா.. நம்ம அப்பாக்களெல்லாம் சின்ன சின்ன 

                  கால்குலேஷன் (Calculation) போடறதுக்கு கூட   

                  கால்குலேட்டரை   அல்லது கம்ப்யூட்டர்ல 

                   இருக்கற கால்குலேட்டரை யூஸ்  பண்ணறாங்க.. 

 (சுரேஷ்) : ம்ம் .. ஸ்கூல்ல நமக்கும் பர்மிஷன் கொடுத்தா நல்லா 
                    இருக்கும்...

(ரமேஷ் ): கவலைப் படாதடா...அதுக்குப் பதிலா 

                  மல்ட்டிப்ளிக்கேஷன் (Multiplication) பண்றதுக்கு ஷார்ட் கட் 

                 மெதெட்ஸ் நிறைய இருக்குடா..எங்க மாமா சொல்லிக் 

                  கொடுத்தாரு..ரொம்ப யூஸ்ஃபுல்லா இருக்கும்டா...

(சுரேஷ்) :  அப்படியா..ப்ளீஸ் சொல்லுடா..

(ரமேஷ் ): இப்ப இரண்டு அல்லது அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட டிஜிட்ஸ்(Digits)
                   நம்பர்ஸ்-ஐ Multiplication பண்றதை பார்க்கலாம்.

For example, 23 x 41 = 943 இந்த Multiplication-ஐ  ஷார்ட் கட் மெதெட்ஸ்-ல ஈசியா போடலாம்.

To multiply two numbers (of two or more digits), split each number into two parts. If the first number is a1 + b1 and the second number is a2 + b2, then the product of the two numbers is:

                      (a1 x a2) + (a1 x b2 + b1 x a2) + (b1 x b2) 
    

                         

The solution comprises three parts (as shown by the boxes and arrows above): the head, the middle, and the tail.

   1. The digits on the right are multiplied vertically to get the tail part: b1 x b2 
     (excess carried over)
   2. All digits are multiplied crosswise and added together to get the middle part:
       a1 x b2 + b1 x a2 (excess carried over)
   3. The digits on the left are multiplied vertically to get the head part: a1 x a2

In our example 23 x 41  = 943,

                             

Consider       2 as a1
             3 as b1
             4 as a2 &
             1 as b2
The steps are:

   1. 3 x 1 = 3
   2. 2 x 1 + 3 x 4 = 14, put down 4 and carry over 1
   3. 2 x 4 = 8, plus the 1 carried over, is 9

இப்ப இரண்டுக்கு மேற்பட்ட டிஜிட்ஸ்(Digits) நம்பர்ஸ்-ஐ Multiplication பண்றதை பார்க்கலாம்.

Example (2) : 108 x 64 = 6912

                          

The steps are:

   1. 8 x 4 = 32, put down 2 and carry over 3
   2. 10 x 4 + 8 x 6 = 88, plus the 3 carried over, is 91; put down 1 and carry
        over 9
   3. 10 x 6 = 60, plus the 9 carried over, is 69

(சுரேஷ்) : very useful-டா. இன்னும் வேற Techniques இருக்காடா?

(ரமேஷ் ): ம்ம்..சொல்றேன் ...இப்ப "5'-ல் முடியும் 2 digits Numbers -ஐ
                    Multiply பண்றதை பார்க்கலாம்.

For example, 25 x 25 = 625,

   Now Consider
       Before "X" symbol Nos
              2 as a1
              5 as b1
       After X" symbol Nos
              2 as a2
              5 as b2
      
       now use formula,
          i) b1 X b2 (i.e) 5 X 5 = 25

         (ii) a1 X (a2+1) (i.e) 2 X 3 = 6
         Now Put first result at right side
          second result at left side.
         we got, 25 X 25 = 625

Example(2):
                   65 x 65 = 1225
Before "X" symbol Nos
              6 as a1
              5 as b1
       After "X" symbol Nos
              6 as a2
              5 as b2
      
       now use formula,
          i) b1 X b2 (i.e) 5 X 5 = 25
         (ii) a1 X (a2+1) (i.e) 6 X 7 = 42
         Now Put first result at right side
                second result at left side
         we got, 65 x 65 = 4225
